The Prairie Style Window Scene stencil by Cynthia Silveri was designed using the primarily nature-based and geometric motifs that were typical of the Prairie Style. The style itself was in turn inspired by the broad, flat landscape of the American Midwest and was the first uniquely American style of architecture. (FYI, The Frederick C. Robie house, constructed in 1909, was perhaps Frank Lloyd Wright’s ultimate Prairie Style masterpiece.)
This stencil is ideal for creating backgrounds and texture for art journaling and mixed media. Since it's also a mask, try it for monoprinting with a gelatin plate.
